CONVERGENCE
I had a life which grew
upon waves and upon
those waves the mossand minerals etched
my name. What could I ask
of lightness? My father skimsa lake for seaweed.
He pries a wave apart,
part heart, part pardon.
There is lightnessin convergence. The seaweed
in my hands. To hold
a world that was a world,
my lungs shattered
in knots –dark gold.

Thoughts on the Telephone process
It was quite challenging, but also freeing. It took some time to translate an image into poetry, without it being too literal. Definitely fun and thought provoking, thank you!
