Thoughts on the Telephone process
I think all art, all language, is translation. We are constantly translating our experiences, our emotions, ourselves into a form. Sometimes that form is image, color, shape, shadow. Sometimes it is movement. Sometimes sound and utterance. The Telephone project reminded me of just how much can get lost in that process—that no matter how much you may try to comprehend a thing, you can never fully become that thing. You can only be grateful that it is there.
