Thoughts on the Telephone process

The biggest challenge was balancing the responsibility of transmitting the “message” or what I interpreted as the origin statement without aping or simply copying material from the previous work. I was interpreting a visual work into words, but there were words present in the visual piece. I found myself torn; reluctant to simply copy the words there, but somehow bound to pass them along because they may have been part of the origin message. I decided to use some verbatim and translate others indirectly.
