Thoughts on the Telephone process

I appreciate the arbitrariness of receiving a prompt out of the blue. It is a nice vacation from having to develop an idea out of thin air. I found it difficult to negotiate how exactly to serve the Telephone ethic: do I interpret the message and transpose what I hear into something new? Do I attempt, somehow, to literally recreate the message in the new medium? etc.
