American, b. 1955, playing from Altadena, CA, USA
I'm a contemporary artist living in the greater Los Angeles area. I received an MFA in Painting from Cal State University Northridge and a BFA in Interior Architecture from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. I'm interested in looking at questions without needing to find answers. My current work manifests itself in two distinct bodies of work: Musings, and Marcus Durkheim. I teach drawing and painting at Cal State University Northridge and Ryman Arts. Highlights of past funding awards: 2013 USA Projects Funding Grant, Durfee Grant and a George Sugarman Grant.

Thoughts on the Telephone process
I love, love, LOVED this idea when I came across it and knew that I wanted to be a part of the project immediately. What attracted me was the idea of translation, from one artist's expression to another, one media to another, one country to another, AND, how this simple game of telephone brought back not only childhood memories, but, as an adult, the complexity of this seemingly simple game into a fuller, richer and more global depth of understanding about humanity's social interactions.
