My Mitochondria Are Obsessed With Your Mitochondria

and oval-shapedwhen you enter a room becomes macaroni noodle
ghost cuttle fish violinswimming inside me
rushing to meet the whale
wishbone syringewithin you I'm confident

my fingerprints to yours
to hear the swollen song of our cells
buoyed towardthe surface of ourselves
straining cuttlefish and wishbone
to meet
