Thoughts on the Telephone process
I have participated in a few projects that relied on interpreting or responding to the work of others, both written works such as poetry and prose as well as artwork. I always find this to be challenging yet enjoyable. It causes me to think in other directions. For this Telephone project not necessarily in terms of the media and techniques I use but more so in my thinking process. I found this particular response challenging because the piece I received was so minimal, dark and mysterious. It called to mind the work of Hopper and the feeling of loneliness and separation. That was the thread of thought I chose to follow.
