Jacqueline MIntz, Uninvited Guests, acrylic on canvas, 20"x16"

b. 1937 in China, playing from Baltimore, MA, USA

After a career as a linguist, university administrator, and then public law attorney, I came to art and painting late. Starting with classical realism, I moved more recently to less representational work. I am aesthetically drawn to layering, transparency and movement. Intellectually I am concerned with evanescence, memory, and historical strata.
